Remote Learning Provision at LEH
We have now finalised our Remote Learning Provision. All of the details are within our Remote Learning Policy (attached and available on the school website), which you should take time to read through, so that you know and understand what our plans are, should there be a need for school closure. Please note, that provision for Early Years (Class 1- Reception) will be slightly different to what is listed below given the ages of the children.
Children in Years 1-6 have been trialling the use of Microsoft Teams within lessons and learning about Office 365. To support you and your child using MS Teams from home, we have produced a Guide (also attached and available on the school website). In order for your child to access their MS Teams account, you will need to log in to the website below through a computer, tablet or phone
Your child will be sent home with resources, which will support our Remote Learning Provision, including:
1) Their MS Teams log in information – should you misplace this, please contact the school office.
2) Acceptable Use Policy – this has been read in school and explained to the children and they have signed their part. We ask that a parent/guardian reads and signs a copy, which should be returned on Monday in a sealed envelope.
3) CGP ‘catch-up’ exercise books (Years 1-2) – these are only to be used, when guided by the teachers e.g. children may be asked to complete p6 from one of the booklets, which directly links into the learning taking place. They therefore should not be used by the children to complete without the class teacher’s instruction. There are useful guidance sheets for parents to use to reinforce learning with the children before they complete any activity.
4) Blank exercise book (Years 1-6) – for children to keep all of their work together. Photographs/copies of this work will be marked by the teacher, using the class email account, which is already in place.
Our preference is for the children to be in school and be taught a full day of lessons by their teachers, as we know that this is where they excel. We hope and pray that a full school closure does not take place in order for the children to maintain routine and stability in these times of uncertainty.
Finally, please find below links to additional online activities and other downloadable documents, that you may also find useful and enjoyable.
