We ask parents and carers to support our school uniform policy and to ensure that pupils look smart for school. Uniform helps to unite the children as members of Lady Hastings Thorp Arch and encourages them to be proud of the school they represent.
Throughout the year, Friends of the School also sell second-hand uniform.
Our school uniform is:
- Red sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
- Dark grey skirt or grey trousers (not leggings or trousers with decoration)
- A white polo shirt with school logo
In Summer the uniform remains the same except that grey shorts or a red and white plain/checked summer dress may be substituted.
A clean sports bottle filled with water (only) should be brought to school each day.
Waterproof coats with the school logo are also available for parents who wish to purchase them as an optional item.
A red book bag may be purchased to take home reading books and letters and these are particularly useful in Class 1.
PLEASE MARK ALL OF YOUR CHILD’S CLOTHING WITH THEIR NAME
Jewellery is not permitted with the exception of stud earrings and a watch. These must be removed for P.E and swimming (or earrings covered with tape.)
Shoes should be black school shoes (not trainers). If bad weather requires the children to wear wellies or boots while travelling to school, they should bring their school shoes with them to change once here.
- A school hoodie with the school logo or a plain red hoodie
- A school PE top with crest or a plain white t-shirt
- Black shorts for warmer weather
- Plain black leggings or plain tracksuit bottoms/ joggers.
- Sensible outdoor training shoes.
The children come to school wearing their PE uniform on PE days and do not need to bring their usual uniform.
Pre - Loved Uniform
The Friends of School also has a stock of pre-loved uniform which can be purchased. For details of their current stock (or if you would like to donate uniform) contact one of the FOS Team or the school office.
Please contact the school office or Headteacher if you would like to speak (in confidence) about available funding for uniform from the Lady Elizabeth Hastings’ Trust.
