Vacancy: Administrative Support Assistant

Pay scale: Salary Details: B1 Point 4 to B3 Point 11 - £11.98p/h to £13.47p/h

Hours per week: 12.30 hrs. TTO. (2 days per week)

Start date: A.S.A.P.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and well-organised Administrative Assistant to work with the School Business Manager and to provide excellent administration support in our busy school office.

Ideally the successful candidate will have the ability to carry out a wide range of office based tasks which include:

 

  • Being able to work as part of a team providing excellent administration an organisational skills
  • Being able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Preparing routine correspondence
  • Using IT applications and Databases effectively to deliver administrative tasks.

Grade/ Band:                 A1-B3 depending on qualifications and experience

Vacancy Hours: Monday to Friday (job share considered)

 8.35am until 3.20pm 28.5

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 18th July 2025 (with the potential to extend into the academic year 2025-2026)

The governing board are seeking to appoint a dedicated teaching assistant to join our happy, welcoming Church school where all are encouraged to let their light shine by ‘Living and learning together in the light of God.’

This post will be to directly support learning in a whole class and 1:1 capacity under the guidance and support of the class teacher/ SENDCo

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to support the Christian ethos of our school
  • Have a calm and nurturing attitude
  • Be able to facilitate children's learning in both 1:1 and small groups
  • Be willing to work directly with children with special educational needs
  • Be able to share information and have professional communication with the class teacher.
  • Have experience of working in a similar position in schools (or be willing to undertake training and further study.)
